After turning over every stone in the hunt for suitably themed music for some upcoming sets this Halloween weekend, Simon Shackleton was a little surprised to end up with pretty much nothing in his basket. Intent on being able to bring a distinct spookiness to the dancefloor, Simon turned to his back catalogue for inspiration. After handpicking All These Strange Ghosts, House Of Mirrors and Carnival Of Souls, Simon remixed, re-imagined and decked out all three with all of the eerie and enchanting trimmings required to have everyone on edge and their toes at the same time! If pulsating and possessed progressive house is what you’re on the hunt for this weekend, this EP will be right up your street!
Although two of the tracks on Simon’s new Halloween EP are tweaks on a couple of remixes, his insane remix of House Of Mirrors is brand new to us all. While we’re on the subject of new music, Simon has mentioned on Bandcamp that he has written, recorded, mixed and mastered 12 new tracks in the last 8 weeks, and it’s all coming our way very soon! Exciting times for all of us Shack fans for sure!
