Zero – Emit/Collect EP (Streetwise Recordings)

With the news beginning to filter out of Streetwise Recordings’ return, we thought we do our little bit by spreading word that the legendary Cambridge-based label is very much back on the scene. It’s back with the promise of brand-new music from various genres and it’s going to be releasing all of the vintage vinyl releases digitally for the first time ever!

With a decent amount of music already uploaded to Streetwise’s Bandcamp page since the relaunch earlier in the year, I shot over there on receipt of the news in the hope I’d find Rennie Pilgrem‘s ‘Agatha Stomp’ remix of Zero’s epic Emit/Collect and I was not disappointed! I know I’m not the only one who believes that remix is one of the greatest breakbeat tunes in the world ever and I also know I’ll not be the only one who’ll be over the flippin’ moon to be able to finally own a high-quality copy of it either.

As exciting as it is to get my hands on Rennie’s remix, there’s still plenty of excitement going for the remaining three tracks on the EP, no doubt about it! The original version of Emit/Collect and the b-side to it, Zero Reality, have both been remastered and sound as mighty and impressive as ever. The final track on the EP is the big, bold and brashy Dumb Blonde vs Coburn remix of Emit/Collect. Having never listened to that one before, I’m now very pleased I have!

It feels like there’s plenty to come from Streetwise Recordings after the relaunch, so get following and liking on the socials and you won’t miss out on all the treats coming your way.
