Southside Breaks is a UK and Spanish breakbeat collective that’ll be working alongside some of the biggest names in the international breaks scene to infuse the old school with the future of breaks. Based in Bristol, the dedicated and passionate crew will be releasing music via the label side of operations and organising breakbeat parties with epic lineups around the UK. On top of that, they’ll also be dropping regular mixtapes packed full of the freshest tunes the scene has to offer and that’s where we catch up with them now.
With mixes already landing from artists such as Perfect Kombo, Kraymon, The Push, Destroyers, GUAU and Afghan Headspin amongst others, it’s the turn of Spain’s International Breaks Awards winner Mbreaks to liven up the airwaves with a huge mix of what she thinks is hot right now in the world of Breakbeat. Known for her high-energy sets, you can be sure you’ll be sweating buckets by the time you reach the end of this 50-minute sprint!
