UK beatsmith Planky returns after a two-year hiatus with his soul-drenched hip hop single – Rescue Me – feat 2nd Generation Wu on Rekkit Records.
Having already collaborated with UK legends such as Harry Shotta, Dynamite MC, Chester P and Leaf Dog in the past, Planky headed stateside this time around to team up with 2nd Generation Wu’s iNTeLL & PXWER, who are sons of Wu-Tang‘s Method Man and U-God. Laying down a well-crafted instrumental which boasts plenty of brass, a gritty yet soulful vibe and is driven by live instrumentation from drummer, Louis Sellers, and bassist, Dean Gladwyn, the perfect backdrop is set by Planky for 2nd Generation Wu to step up and flex their unique styles and rhymes. Chips of the old block I’d say!
