HATT.D’s latest offering of music gives a quartet of solid and sun-kissed House heaters on his excellent “Dear Beautiful EP” that are all available to download for free via Edinburgh’s Fresh Take Records.
HATT.D is a producer, DJ and record collector from the Netherlands who has an open mind when perusing the musical landscape. When making and playing music, his sound is mainly on a 4/4 tip, but as you’ll find out when you visit his Soundcloud page, his studio mixes can feature anything from floor fillers to the most beautiful and serene Ambient music you’ve ever heard.
From what I’ve listened to of HATT.D’s music, his “Dear Beautiful” is the funkiest and most soulful selection of sounds he has made thus far. The title track of the EP kicks things off with a tough 4/4 kick, a meaty and groovin’ bassline and bass guitar licks that really give this one its strong funky flavour. Track two is “Forever” and although the vocals may have you drifting away into the clouds, there’s more than enough in this one to keep the feet on the floor and moving briskly! Keeping the sun-drenched terrace vibes alive comes “Talkin’ Bout Love” with funky guitar licks and those gorgeous strings of life. Making sure we end on an all-time high, HATT.D lights the Disco burners under the bongo and groove-heavy “What We Have”.
All four tracks were released at the end of August with late summers parties in mind, so if you’re missing the summer already and you want to feel like the sun is on your back, get stuck in!
