Simon Shackleton’s new August 2023 Mixtape has been inspired by his recent move to Denver, Colorado, and by his many visits to Black Rock Desert to play and party at Burning Man. Known for his legendary 7-hour One Series sets, Simon has managed to deliver a 2-hour mixtape that still encapsulates the spirit of those sets and a little bit special it most certainly is.
We journey from the emotive embrace of electronica to the gritty allure of indie dance, transitioning into twisted tech house through the intense beat of Jackin’ techno to the euphoria of the booming break, all pieced together under a psychedelic canopy. The goal, as ever, is to curate a sonic story that transports the listener.
