After impressing the Paper Recordings team with his ‘scene stealing’ track – Transatlantic Motion – for their ongoing EP series – The Wild Army Vol 6 -, Benny Pitcher was invited back to release an EP so they could shine the spotlight on this talented producers’ work.
Delivering two out-and-out stunners on his – Rebirth EP -, what we get are two contrasting vibes with one incredible outcome! Things kick off on a lively note with – So Good – and to be fair, that’s the only way to describe it. Pumping nu-disco with an acid twist, brass stabs, zingy guitars and a groovin’ bassline, but what I’m sure you’re all going to get hooked on is those gospel vocals, which make for a truly spiritual experience.
Just as amazing, but checking in from another universe, we have the breathtakingly beautiful – Lips Like Roses -. A deep disco-tinged progressive breaks roller at heart, the vocals on this one are again on point but are more in tune with the atmospheric nature of the gorgeous backdrop. After the rush of the opener, the comedowns going to be oh-so-sweet.
