BBE – Seven Days and One Week (Framewerk Rewerks)

Having masterfully reimagined music by Age Of Love, Mory Kante, Massive Attack, Chemical Brothers and Future Sound of London, amongst others, in the past, UK-based duo Framewerk recently turned their attention to BBE’s infamous 1996 classic Seven Days And One Week. The result of their workings on this occasion has spawned not one, but two spell-binding rewerks of the much-loved classic. First up is a progressive breaks rewerk and as immaculate as all of its components are, the bassline is insane! I’m a bass addict, and I just cannot get enough of it! Plenty of references to the original and a gorgeous slice of breakbeat it absolutely is, but turn it up and let the whole world feel the bass! The second remix on offer is a stunning progressive house one which retains much of the dream house essence of the original. There’ll be no time for dreaming when this remix lands in the club though because the solid 4/4 kick and 125bpm tempo will have the floor packed and everyone losing their minds.
