Here at LSM HQ we welcome back for another year Logan aka Kid Breaks. Since his mix last time (which proved to be our most played advent day yet) he has been storming the UK scene at the likes of Shambala all whist studying for his GCSEs and music technology course where he is tutored by Nick Slater from the infamous Drumattic Twins.
This tape sees his personality shine though seeing influences from his hero’s including Stanton Warriors, Krafty Kuts, Plumps and Chase & Status.
Already dabbing in the world of production, we can’t wait to see what 2023 has in store for this young prodigy!
Kid Breaks Bio : the story so far ….
Introducing my Son Logan who is 16 years old and has the condition Cystic Fibrosis for which sadly there is still no cure but definitely no sympathy required.. this is just an FYI as this kids a warrior ! He battles fearlessly on a daily basis and his personality and sense of humour during bad times is inspirational as is the case with many CF kids, adults and anyone with invisible illness or disabilities and these kids are strong beyond belief with how they face daily meds, nebulisers and physio regimes and still keep smiling, inspirational is sometimes a massive understatement. Christmas 2016 I bought Logan a Numark Partymix controller and some headphones and it was the best decision I ever made, Logan was over the moon and determined … within a short time he had done his first mix which surprisingly went straight into the Mixcloud Breakbeat chart top ten, hit 6th position and Kid Breaks was born! 🤩xx
With huge performances already under his belt this kid is now taking his mission of awareness to the next level as his popularity’s spreading wide along with his cheeky nature and smiles ! Natural talent and love for what he’s doing brings light on dark days and his energy is special for anyone who has seen him play ! The Peterborough UK based young DJ smashed his first ever big performance at the local legendary Green Meadows Festival in 2018 and a GoFundMe campaign was launched to help upgrade Logan’s DJ controller and with the awesome generosity of the Green Meadows Festival Chat family the target was reached in an amazing 2 weeks and his beloved Pioneer XDJ-RX2 was bought ! Support from his awesome mentor Janette Slack and also Atomic Hooligan at On The Rise DJ Academy has also been amazing and helped Logan immensely with confidence and skills and totally recommended their help for anyone at any level, they are awesome!💯👊💜

A UGC Radio resident DJ from its founding and then a family member of Florida based Houz Of Breaks Entertainment he smashed live radio for two years but had to break when secondary school workload increased and serious studies towards his exams took priority, rightfully for his musical future (music technology course in college starting September 2022 ).
Never forgetting the awesome support from his ‘Uncle Sid’ Wesley and Louise O’Donnell at Life Support Machine blog and free music download site since day one !
Here is Logan’s Bio he wrote himself :
“Hello my name is Logan and I am also known as Kid Breaks ! I’m a sixteen year old DJ who entered the breaks scene in 2017. Thanks to my dad I got into Breakbeat at an early age. I do sadly have a life-shortening illness called Cystic Fibrosis attacking mostly the lungs but also the pancreas, liver, kidneys and also intestine. What’s great about Breaks though is that I can do this anywhere, forget about troubles and make the atmosphere better too bringing smiles and beats to make you dance ! My main influences so far have been the Stanton Warriors, The Prodigy, Elite Force, Breaksjunky, Krafty Kuts, Mafia Kiss, Utah Saints, Atomic Hooligan, Janette Slack, A-skillz, Drumattic Twins, Plump DJ’s and Future Funk Squad”.
Raising awareness of his condition and funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust towards research to find a cure, and with a growing fan base as Kid Breaks this young talented DJ is an inspiration for anyone with any disabilities or invisible illness to not give up and go for your dreams, and in his own words … he’s ‘Living Life with a Twist !
