On Advent Day 14, we dip into the world of Drum and Bass – particularly of the liquid kind – with a sublime mix from Peterborough-based Nick ‘Sincere’ Porter.
A bonafide member of the old skool, Nick has been promoting the music he loves since the late 80s/early 90s with his High Rollaz club night. Fast forward to present times and while his club night remains, High Rollaz has now become the name of his record label and radio show on Future Sounds Radio (Saturday evenings 6-8pm). The music found in Nick’s mix reflects the type that can be heard on his radio show and what you can expect from his label brilliantly and it could easily be one of the best Drum and Bass mixes you’ve heard in a while.
Opening with an intro featuring his brother from another mother, Rayan Gee of rave legends Shades of Rhythm, Nick gets the ball rolling with the latest release on High Rollaz – Twilight – and then proceeds to serve up an incredible selection of liquid funk and deeper liquid Drum and Bass. The flow and progression of the mix are a joy to the eardrums and warm your cockles this mix most definitely will.
