601 – Burn Them (BreakBeat Connection)

There seems no let up in how much the breakbeat scene wants to keep spoiling us fans this year and after the return of many legends of the scene, we now bring you brand new music from 601! Once a duo from Harrogate, 601 returns as a trio from Harrogate after enlisting the supreme skills of DMC world championship finalist DJM and to thoroughly road-test their new setup, they hit the UK festival season hard and by all accounts, George and Nate tore it up just like they always have done and DJM left jaws on the floor with his dexterity on the wheels of steel. If you see them on a lineup, get your ticket a be prepared to dance, dance and dance some more!

With a return to the breaks scene, you’d hope 601 has some new music to bring us and the good news is, they do, and quite a bit by the sounds of things. First out of the blocks on their comeback and landing on the superb BreakBeat Connection imprint is – Burn Them – and if you’re a fan of their uncompromising, raucous and savage sound from back in the day, you’re gonna have a whole lot of fun going toe-to-toe with their fiery single when you encounter it on the dancefloor! Intense from the very first second and the drop, well, holding on for dear life might just be your only option as the filthy bassline and hard-as-nails drums do their best to destroy whatever lies in their path!

Some of you may already recognise 601’s new single because it’s the theme tune to George’s weekly food and music culture show Foodinati UK. An accomplished chef and a huge foodie, George heads out around the UK to sample food from independent restaurants, shops and stalls that you might not know about, but should really get to.
