So… without further ado… Check out our interview with T. Power:

What did you want to be when you grew up?
When I was a kid I wanted to be an astronaut or a dustman, I guess I was aiming high and low in one foul swoop so I would never be disappointed with the outcome, now I just aim high, though this doesn’t always pan out, urinals being one situation where that might end badly.

What’s been your worst job?
I can’t say I’ve had a really bad job, I started my career as a graphic designer which isn’t that bad really is it? Complain I could but would anyone listen hmmmm?

What are you obsessed with right now?
Right now I am obsessed with harmonic theory and the inherent errors within the equal tempered scale, this is the final part of a 7 year exercise in sound and harmonic theory that I felt I needed to become a more well rounded composer/engineer. I don’t like holes. Well, not in my work anyway, some holes are nice, though its probably best I don’t digress much further on that one.

Pet hates, what can you not stand?
I cannot stand not knowing something. It’s not enough for me to be told that something is so, I want to know why it is so, and who says it’s so and what their motivations are for what they say. Question EVERYTHING, Believe NOTHING.

When and where were you happiest?
I’ve never been happier than I am when I am able to live in the present and not languish in the past or dream or about what might happen in the future. Now is the only reality, the past is irrelevant as its already happened and cannot be changed, and the future can only be dictated by what we do in the present.

How do you describe what you do, when meeting new people?
I’ve been known to tell people that I masturbate with boxing gloves on and bite the heads off chickens, though I’ve learnt to be less offensive in my frail old dotage.

Have you been arrested? What for?
I have never been arrested, a fact I can be thankful for now I’m trying to live in a different country.

What’s the best record ever made?
I don’t think I’m qualified to answer that question, but if you’re asking me to pick a favourite recording from many, the first that usually springs to mind is Whats Going On by Marvin Gaye.

What’s the coolest thing you own?
My laptop

And the geekiest thing?
My laptop :P

What was the best piece of advice you ever had?
You can’t polish a turd.

Who is your all time hero and why?
Richard P Feynman, he was a physicist, a musician and a humanist. He is one of many but my heroes are people who transcend what they specialize in, humility and character are wonderful attributes in human beings that do great things, self deitization is an awful attribute and I have no time for it. Frank Zappa is another of my heroes.

What do you collect, other than records?
I don’t collect vinyl and haven’t for a long time now, I’m not much of a collector other than the comics I have left in storage from my childhood. If I collect anything now I guess that would have to be information, and for the record, I am not a nerd, I’m an Information Ninja!

What’s your main vice?
Beer, specifically Belgian Beer, preferably blonde triple ales, mmmmmm, creamy.

What were you up to at 2am last Friday?
Sleeping!

What’s your answer to everything?
Freedom through responsibility.

What’s your most prized possession from when you were a kid?
Cerebus issue 1, original print, worth quite a bit now if its in mint condition.

What did you last treat yourself to?
A very rare original Kangol Wool Grouser, I was, still am and always will consider myself a B-Boy. I AM NOT A JUNGLIST, I AM A FREE MAN!

What do you spend your cash on?
Tropical Fish, I find them very relaxing and peaceful, it’s at the other end of the spectrum to producing and helps keep me sane, peace and quiet is a great antidote to too much music.

What’s your favourite high, herbal or otherwise?
Beer, tried most others and got bored, beer is the only thing that’s reliable and I don’t hate myself the following day if I overdo it.

Do you get any reoccurring dreams?
Lots, I’ll share one with you, I keep getting a dream where I need to take a dump but cannot find a toilet that is clean or has privacy, I’m either getting covered in shitty/pissy water or strangers keep busting in on me while I’m pinching one off. Any dream analysts out there care to shed some light on that one?

What would you change about yourself if you could?
I wish I cared less if that makes sense.

What’s your biggest fashion disaster?
Getting a haircut that made me look like Vanilla Ice.

If you had a Tardis, where would you go?
If I had a Tardis I would go to the planet that orbits Alpha Centuri to find out if Stockhausen really did come from there or if he lost his mind before he died, we may be related.

What is your most embarrassing claim to fame?
The video to “Don’t Wanna Know”, I looked like a fucking tool in it, laugh? No I didn’t but I bet everyone else did.
